  1. I have a very limited diet. I am having trouble finding a stable diet that is nourishing my body.
I can not eat coconut(deadly) nuts, peanuts, palm oil, soy, dairy, or gluten. Would you be able to help me with meal plans. I want to sign up for the weekly meal planning you offer. But I am worried it won’t be worth it because I won’t be able to do a lot of the recipes. Thank you:)!

    • Hey, Jessica! The Balanced Keto Meal Plans are 100% gluten-free, dairy-free, and soy-free. The plans also come with a Dietary Modification Guide with tips and suggestions on how to replace nuts in the recipes. As for coconut, you could simply replace coconut oil with beef tallow, lard, avocado oil, or another oil you like. You could replace full-fat coconut milk with homemade hemp milk (omit the almond extract).

You can also download a free sample of the meal plan on this page (scroll down to “SAVOR YOUR FREE SAMPLE MEAL PLAN”) to get an idea of how many coconut, nuts, and palm are found in the recipes. I hope this helps!

  2. I can’t find the link to the magnesium supplement you recommend. I am very interested in knowing what it is! Thanks for all the info.

  3. Hi! I’m in the process of researching about going Keto & stumbled upon your website & podcast ( I LOVE both, & your approach!). But as I am preparing I was wondering are there any essentials (like kitchen utensils) you would recommended to make food prep & calculating easier? Thanks! I can’t wait to start this journey!

    • Thanks, Liz! I’m thrilled you enjoy them both :) I would consider having a spiralizer (to make veggies noodles), a blender of some kind, and some type of slow cooker or Instant Pot– links to my favorites are on this list (scroll almost all the way to the bottom, where it says “Products”). I don’t measure or track my food, but if you’re into that, you might find a kitchen scale helpful as well.

  4. I bought your book on Amazon, Keto Diet: The complete guide, and I am trying to get started on my own. But the science is so contrary to anything I have experienced but yet encapsulates pieces of several dietary plans. I guess I am over whelmed. I never had dietary issues with weight gain until I turned 60 yrs. Now that I am 63, I have exhaused all tests and ideas to conquer my 30lb. weight gain.

Is there another book or option that would help me “digest” all this new found information on Keto to help it make sense for me?

    Thank you,
    Patricia Darin

  5. Hello. Considering keto. I don’t have a computer and internet connection where I live is spotty. Is there a good book to use as a guideline to get started? Information states that keto is not a long term diet, but best to use in cycles. How long is each cycle?

    • Hi, Claudia! Since you don’t have a computer or internet connection, it sounds like The Keto Diet paperback would be the best option for you. It’s available in all major bookstores or you can order it online. The book doesn’t discuss using keto in cycles but was created to show you how to make your keto life practical with oodles of food preparation tactics, grocery store lists, and keto travel tips. I hope this helps!

  6. I am frustrated. I had a doctor recommend this diet because I have an auto-immune disorder and it is very difficult for me to lose weight. However, I am allergic to milk and eggs. No, I am not lactose intolerant. I have a true allergy. I have scoured the internet trying to find ways to start this diet, but quite frankly it is all very confusing. I have a busy life, especially once school starts because I am a teacher. I just would like this whole thing simplified and I would like to know what I can do to replace the milk products (cream, butter, etc.) that would make it still work. I am pretty frustrated, so any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

    • I’m sorry to hear you’re feeling frustrated. All of the keto recipes on this site are dairy-free and you can filter by egg-free as well. Check out the list here. I recommend replacing cream with full-fat coconut milk, butter with coconut oil, and regular milk with unsweetened nut/seed milk. It sounds like you’d enjoy my Keto Bundle. The programs in this bundle will help you understand exactly why keto works and how to make it work for you. The combination of incredibly helpful, in-depth guides with meal plans, step-by-step instruction, and personalized support will transform you into a keto warrior. Wishing you all the best!

  7. Hi. I’m in the process of going Keto. I have a few question as I transition. What would you recommend for someone who is on a limited budget, feeding a family of 4? Unfortunately we can not afford organic meet. I try to by better quality meets when they are on sell. Also, I have a latex allergy. And as much as I love avocados, because of the latex in them I have to limit how much I eat them. What would you recommend as a sub for avocado?

    • If you can’t purchase higher-quality meat, go for LEAN cuts and add your own health-promoting oils like grass-fed tallow, coconut oil, and the like. Instead of avocado, try mayonnaise, oils, nuts, and seeds. I hope this helps!

  8. Some days if I eat a lot of fat like bacon fat, my stomach hurts. Not sure why. Do you think I am able to eat keto? And if so should I start with the keto beginning or fat fueled?

  9. I have ordered the Keto Diet but am ready to start today. My book will be here on Tuesday, today is Sunday. What can I eat today and Monday to start the plan?

  10. Can u get this in a book not on electronic?

    • Are you referring to The Keto Beginning? This program is only available in digital format. You’re welcome to print it out yourself, though!
