Stack it! Wrap it! Roll it! And of course eat it! Check out these keto-approved sandwiches and wraps that will leave you feeling happy and healthy on your low-carb paleo diet. Yum!
No more thinking longingly of eating a sandwich, only to be disappointed that they always seem to be too high in carbs and other unfriendly ingredients. Traditionally, sandwiches and even wraps are a no-no when it comes to low-carb diets (like keto). And when you do find one that’s lower in carbs, it doesn’t seem to taste quite right.
That’s why I have compiled this mouth-watering list of recipes for us keto folk, so we can enjoy keto sandwiches, keto wraps, and even keto burgers! (dances about excitedly before regaining composure) Ahem. Yes, back to telling you about the keto recipe roundup.
Anyway, this list is low-carb, high-fat, and of course keto-friendly sandwiches and wraps, with a couple of my personal suggestions to make the recipes work for your Fat Fueled keto life. You can use these low-carb, paleo and keto recipes for picnics, barbecues, summer dinners, back to school lunches . . . you get the picture. They’re very versatile, so feel free to play around with the combo that works best for you. Don’t forget to leave us a comment about which sandwich or wrap you enjoyed most! I am always so excited to hear all about your keto recipe adventures!
If you’d like more inspiration and don’t particularly care for dealing with the stress of having to plan all of your keto meals, try out my Balanced Keto Weekly Meal Plan Program. Having a well-organized meal plan can really help save you time, money, and a little sanity. The difference it makes is amazing! Just let me do the planning, which I LOVE, so you can get right to the cooking and eating . . . which I also LOVE.
First up, tantalize your taste buds with this twist on a traditional (and keto) Korean dish. It’s got loads of flavor, so the trick is to actually stop and breathe every once in awhile when you’re eating these delicious wraps. For a perfectly keto-friendly meal, replace the maple syrup with alcohol-free stevia.
The fact that this is a burger does not mean you have to stay away to stay ketogenic (just use the lettuce option instead of a bun). Now that’s something to celebrate! If you love avocados, then this is definitely worth a try. Give it a go and tell us about it in the comments.
Oh, yes. These fish tacos have me drooling thinking about the beach and amazing seafood. Fish taco night is definitely going to have to happen stat! (For the tortillas, use NUCO coconut wraps in place of the cassava wraps for my keto readers.)
Even though it’s cajun, this recipe is actually quite mild in terms of spiciness. So for those who might skip over it because you think it will be too spicy, I say give it a try because you’ll probably be surprised. To keep it keto, stay away from the paleo bun and use a lettuce wrap instead.
In a hurry? Throw together a couple of these keto wraps and you’re ready to run! They take less than 20 minutes to prepare and they have so many good nutrients that your body will thank you for.
How do you make a sandwich without actual bread? Eggplant is one option used here that is a nice alternative to simply using lettuce all the time. Add some bacon for an awesome keto BLT.
Mushroom-lovers, this one’s for you. It’s also prepared in under 20 minutes, so you don’t have to spend too much time in the hot kitchen during the summer. To make it more keto-friendly, replace the tofu with meat (chicken, pork, or beef will do), and use coconut aminos instead of the soy sauce.
Nom nom is all you’ll hear if you catch me while I’m chowing down on these burgers. For a dairy-free option, replace the Swiss cheese with Daiya. And for the mayo, I recommend Primal Kitchen Avocado Oil Mayo.
This wrap is the definition of a low-carb, high-fat keto wrap. If you’re like me and love pulled chicken, then this is your day. If you’re like me, I like to cook it in a slow cooker so I can go work on other things without having to stand by the whole time.
When trying to decide between tacos and burgers, I guess this is what you get. It’s actually a fun combo, and it’s great for eating keto! Just use coconut oil instead of butter, the unsweetened almond milk or unsweetened coconut milk instead of heavy cream, and nutritional yeast instead of cheese.
For those who like to start with a blank slate and go from there, here is a great place to start the ultimate keto sandwich. If you need a little inspiration, you can add some bacon, lettuce, avocado, and mayonnaise for a nice simple low carb high fat keto sandwich.
Here is another blank slate if you already know what you want on the sandwich but are having a hard time finding a good keto alternative to the standard high carb bread options. It’s also amazing because it helps metabolize estrogens and has lots of fiber for digestion. Not your everyday boring bread!
These take a little more time to prepare, but they are definitely worth it. The Vital Proteins Collagen Protein Beef Gelatin in this recipe give it an extra gut-healing boost to keep your body extra happy!
Mmmm, southwestern style! My personal favorite part of this recipe is the bacon and avocado. It’s perfect for a low-carb high-fat meal on-the-go or just chillin’. You can make this a salad or use the romaine lettuce wrap, but either way, it’s a complete and delicious keto-friendly meal.
It’s okay to get a little messy with this keto revamped sloppy joe sandwich. So go on and dig in! Leave out the maple syrup for extra keto awesomeness.
One of the great things about sandwiches is you can have one for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Here’s a breakfast sandwich that’s delicious, keto, and full of great stuff to get you through the day. Kids and adults alike will be licking their lips for this one! Now, which one was your favorite? Have any additional ideas you’d like to share? Chat with me on social!
