Here’s a few nice and simple guides to help you stay stocked up on all those keto necessities at stores like Kroger Walmart, Amazon, Costco, Thrive Market, iHerb, and Whole Foods!

Here’s a quick question to ask yourself: What is your grocery shopping routine like? Fun? Easy? Chaotic? Frustrating? A confusing experience where you go into a store and come out with random things you don’t remember putting in your cart?

I don’t think most people would choose the first two options, so if you are in that category you should definitely leave a comment below to share HOW YOU DO THAT!! If you are in the latter group, then you can feel assured that you’re not alone.

While you may be one of many that don’t exactly look forward to that dreaded grocery shopping trip, it doesn’t have to be that way. I have tried so many different products and cooked tons of keto meals that I believe I can help others by sharing what I think are the top keto essentials you need to stock up on, and what you can get where.

Now, this is not necessarily a complete keto grocery shopping list. If you think there’s something missing, please share your keto wisdom with the rest of us in the comments, below!

If I had to give you a list of the top ten most essential keto things to have in your pantry, this would be it. Of course, there are a few variations based on personal preference, but if you have these items, you’re well on your way owning that fat fueled lifestyle like a boss!

  1. Gray sea salt
  2. Coconut oil
  3. Avocado oil
  4. Primal Kitchen Mayo
  5. Bacon
  6. Avocado
  7. Vital Proteins collagen
  8. Alcohol-free stevia (or ANY kind of keto-friendly sweetener – erythritol, monk fruit, etc.)
  9. Zucchini (because they’re so versatile – can be made into noodles, eaten raw/cooked, etc)
  10. Cauliflower (because it’s so versatile – can be made into rice or mashed “potatoes,” used to thicken soups, eaten raw/cooked, etc.)

Now let us know your thoughts about how you shop keto! Would you add anything to these lists?

  1. Hi Leanne! You recently said in an Instagram live video that you use a different brand of collagen (instead of Vital Proteins). Would you mind sharing which brand you now prefer? Thanks!!

    • The grocery lists for each meal plan are in the book! There’s a shopping list for each week of each meal plan. For example, the shopping list for week 1 of Classic Keto is on pg. 176. Is this what you’re looking for?

  2. I’m curious about the differences you find between Celtic Gray Sea Salt and Real Salt? ( I’m having trouble finding the gray salt (still looking at local stores before ordering online) but I did find Real Salt and was curious what your thoughts were on this type. Thanks!

  3. Hi Leanne!

I’ve been living Paleo for 5 years now & recently started trying Keto about a month ago. I needed a resource to help me firgure this all out and I happened upon your Keto Diet book.

And I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I’m like a sponge & I just want to soak it up so bad that I’m kind of annoyed that I have to go to work instead of reading all day long!

I love your tips & recipes and I can’t wait to try it all!

Thanks so much for pouring your smarts, humour & passion into this brick of bible!

  4. Help. I’m so not hungry and am finding it hard to eat. I’m on day 3…I have had some fried eggs and olive oil hours ago…

Pretty sure I’m in the Keto flu mode cuz I am so tired and sicky and tired and TIRED!!!!

Is there any quick go to ideas for eating my way through this?

  5. I still haven’t seen the 12 page Keto starter guide and weekly recipes in my “inbox” . Any thoughts?

    • Be sure to check your Promotions, Social, and junk/spam folder. If you still can’t find it, message my team and they’ll help ya out :)

  6. Will you be creating a Thrive Market Keto Grocery List soon? Please. :)

  7. I would love your book, is it an E-book yet? I would love to have it on my tablet.

    • It sure is! You can find it pretty much anywhere eBooks are sold– Kindle, iBooks, Kobo.

  8. I would describe my shopping experience buying Keto as easy. I’m prepared with a list of what I need to make simple meals for myself. I keep costs down by buying discounted meat that I separate and freeze. I also buy frozen veggies so they don’t spoil before I can eat them.

  9. Hi Leanne! The Costco and online/offline lists links don’t seem to be working. Thanks so much.

    • Hmm, it’s working for me. Perhaps give them another try? Let me know how it goes…
