    thank you so much for all that you do. After being vegan for 6+ years and completely tearring my insides apart, I went Paleo at the beginning of the year, and have made the switch to Keto in the last month. With that has come my new sobriety (woohoo!) I feel incredible and getting leaner every second. However, my libido has gone wayyy down and feminine dryness is becoming a huge problem! I am 25 and find this to be a huge stab at my confidence and the way I walk through the world. The last time this happened to me was when I was on the pill for a hot second and decided it wasn’t for me, since dryness is not something I’m willing to put up with in any way. I will start a carb-up practice this week after my heavier lifts. But hoping you’ve come across this before? Thank you again! so grateful.

    • So exciting that you’re giving keto a try! If you have any hormonal balancing to do, it’s not unusual to experience hormone fluctuations when you first start keto. Your hormones should balance out in time, but if you’re concerned about it, please don’t hesitate to consult with your healthcare provider.   2. I have noticed a way higher libido in the last month. For the first two weeks of the month I was eating whole30, and the last two weeks of the month, adjusted it to be ketogenic. I have been eating around 30 grams of carbs a day, and then about 80 grams of carbs every three days. I am wondering if the question mentioned in this podcast has anything to do with estrogen being higher? The reason I say that, is because I went off of a progesterone only birth control about 3 months ago because I had too low of estrogen, and the progesterone was making me fat and sick. Since going off this, I have had a much better sexual response, and more sex drive. And the last month that I have been high fat, it has been pretty crazy high. It could have something to do with having generally more balanced hormones.

  3. My first thought hearing the after meal hunger segment is cold food. I feel much more satisfied when I have hot food as compared to an all cold plate. Imagine a hot crispy piece of baked chicken beside that salad instead of cold eggs. I believe there are Chinese medicine impacts of hot food (I remember being instructed to eat hot foods by my Accupuncturist when I was trying to conceive)
