  1. I am trying to incorporate more carbs with my last meal at night. However, I love my keto treats too! I see you scale down on protein when you carb up…should I scale down on fat or carbs when I indulge in a keto treat (ice cream or almond flour cookie)?

    • When carbing up, you want to lower your fat and increase your carbs. Protein doesn’t really need to change. If you’re having a keto treat, that’s probably not a carb up so you may not have to change anything! For more info on carbing up, check out this video and my program, Fat Fueled.

  2. Hi Leanne,

    I’ve been following you for awhile now and tried keto last November. It was really great until right before my period. I had really bad PMS symptoms (that I’ve never experienced) and a painful period for the first time in my life. I couldn’t find any research to help explain why my body reacted this way, but my mom stated it could be because I wasn’t eating enough carbs. Since then, I’ve upped my carbs and I’m back to my normal pain free periods. So, my question is would I be able to ever do keto?

    Just wanted to thank you for being so awesome! I’ve listened to all your podcasts and watched all of your YouTube videos and have learned so much about keto, especially for us as women. The small changes that I’ve made and what I have learned have really made a difference. I even started my cycle again which I have not had in 2 years! But now I’m at a point where my weigh seems to be stalling and I’m craving more meat! Naturally my first instinct was to cut calories… but I don’t want to overdo or under do anything . I’m not sure which direction to go with this. Any suggestions?

Have your book ” Fat Fueled”, been on Keto x 42 days after reading ” Keto Clarity”, lost 6 #s initially, now stalled, feeling bloated, full, low energy, sleep interrupted, thinking about fasting today, not sure best approach. Was keeping carbs around 20g/ day, took your advice and did carbs at hs which helped. HELP!!

    • Hey, Kay! Did you try a carb up and it helped? If that’s the case, increasing your carbs overall or incorporating regular carb ups might be helpful :)
