(First Ever) Recipe Video: Keto Chocolate Hemp Fat Bomb Men

Chocolate-Hemp-Fat-Bomb-MenA stop motion recipe video on how to make low-carb, dairy-free, keto-friendly fat bomb chocolates. Made with Manitoba Harvest Chocolate Hemp Protein, each Fat Bomb Man has 11 grams of (glorious) fat and only 1 net carb.

Our freezer is filled with keto, Fat Bomb Men of all sizes, shapes and flavors – a perfect pick-me-up snack to help you pump up the fats in your life.

Because the more fats you eat, the better off you are. Think I’m crazy? Read these posts about keto.

These keto Fat Bomb Men are loaded with (gasp!) fat, a touch of sweetness, a bit of protein + a healthy dose of hemp. But watch out, they may just run away on you if you’re not careful…

My advice? Eat these keto treats fast! Something tells me that won’t be a problem ;)

Fun, right? My first recipe video!

Instead of using traditional cocoa powder in this chocolatey recipe, I used Manitoba Harvest’s new (smooth) chocolate Pro 70 hemp protein powder. It’s not gritty like other hemp protein powders, making it a perfect replacement for  cocoa powder in any cookie, muffin or cake recipe.

And… for the recipe all typed up and formatted for you, just in case…

You can have so much fun with this recipe. Use cocoa butter/oil instead of coconut oil, add some coconut milk, maybe some nut or seed butter (to make it more fudge-like).

  1. Hi Leanne, does having fat bombs like this one count into your 8 hour eating window period if you have one say first thing in the morning? Thanks!

  2. Great video! Very cool. Can i make these with the regular manitoba harvest protein powder or does it have to be the pro?
Also wondering if you have any thoughts or resources you could point me to regarding a keto diet while breastfeeding.
Thanks for all your amazing recipes and info!

    • It’s super simple and so fun… delicious, too. Glad you liked the video, Jacklie :)

  3. I absolutely love your video – and the recipe looks yummy too! I’m ALL for snacks like this that give you a huge boost of energy when you’re go-go-go. My favourite cocoa powder-based recipe lately is my fudgy avocado brownie recipe: http://kelseyjibb.ca/recipe-fudgy-avocado-brownies/. I used raw cacao powder, and it has healthy fat from the avocados, but I imagine they would be soooo good with a hemp in there as well! :)

    • I NEED to make those brownies. My close girlfriend made them for me a couple of weeks ago and I fell in love. So good, right?!

  4. That video is ADORABLE!! I make a similar recipe using raw cacao powder, but I’ll have to try the Manitoba Harvest hemp version. Sounds (AND LOOKS!) delicious! xx

  5. Hi Leanne,

Great video and thank you for the recipe.
I’m writing for a different reason though…not only to tell you that the recipe is great.

I looked at your Instagram page and saw the picture of you at Manitoba Harvest. You are already quite slim and because you shared your past experience with EDs, I just wanted to say that I hope that keto isn’t bringing back ED patterns/thoughts. You’re an amazing lady – so vivacious (at least from what I can judge based on your posts, videos, etc.) – and beautiful!
I hope you’re doing well and staying healthy.

Also a question: If I’m completely off-base by even mentioning the above, then I apologize … maybe this is helping you to overcome it EVEN more than you already have…If so: Do you find that keto helps you not concentrate so much on food? Does it help you focus on other things? Or are you constantly thinking about macros and worrying if you’re in ketosis, etc.?

Has being in ketosis helped you get your period back?
Do you think keto can help people with osteopenia? hypothalamic amenorrhea?

I’m thinking of trying keto purely for these reasons since it incorporates a lot of cholesterol (which is responsible for the production of SEX hormones) and sat. fat. (i.e. healthy fats as I call them)…

Once again – I apologize if I said something wrong. All the best to you <3

    • Hey! Thanks for your concern and gloriously loving comment. My keto journey has been the next step in my evolution of healthy living – I firmly believe that our bodies are always changing and; with that, we need to be open to change with them, too. The picture you saw with me and Manitoba Harvest – that’s me with 20lbs down after doing keto for 2 months :D I’m stabilizing now (naturally, my body is maintaining its perfect weight). Things are going great and I’ve never felt better!
I’ve found that keto has helped me step away from worrying about food so much, just because I’m not eating as frequently as I used to be. The only issue is that because I’m eating maybe 1-2 times a day, a lot of friends/family rarely see me eating which worries them. But, when they DO see me eat… they know all is good in the world. I don’t hold back!
Keto has helped boost my hormones. No period yet, but I’m hopeful. I’m so much more closer than I have been in a very, very long time!
No need to apologize, everything you asked is totally valid! I’m good, I’m strong, I have lots of energy and I feel really happy with where I’m at right now :D

      • Thanks for replying, Leanne :)

I’m really happy to hear that you’re doing well.

PS: Does everyone in ketosis have to only eat once or twice per day?

  6. Love the video – adorable :) And these chocolate hemp coconut men look delicious!!!

  7. Superb! Loved that tutorial video–so cute and cool! You know people will be requesting more of these cool vids, right?
    No pressure, though ;)

  8. Leanne! that was so adorable! and what a fantastic quick way to show an easy recipe! Thank you for not turning what can be shown in one minute into a drawn out 15 minute video ( who has time to watch those?!?) Great recipe, great format! Loved it!
