This is the third Tulsi Tea I’ve tried, and they just keep getting better and better! Tulsi Turmeric and Ginger with a hint of cinnamon are a beautifully warming caffeine-free tea, the perfect brew to enjoy after a meal. The ginger is incredibly soothing for the digestive system while the natural sweetness of the cinnamon provides just enough of a kick to satisfy any lingering desire for a post-meal treat. Having dessert or a sweet treat after dinner was never really a “thing” in my home growing up but I know there are plenty of people who still struggle with breaking the habitual activity of reaching for the cookie bowl. Having a warming soothing herbal Tulsi Turmeric and Ginger Tea is the new habit you need to create! SOME OF MY FAVOURITE USES FOR TULSI TURMERIC & GINGER Try serving it as a cold brew, just like Tulsi Original though this time with the addition of some fresh ginger, frozen lemon slices and a touch of fresh vanilla! Golden milk made even more simple! Make the tea with warm coconut milk or nondairy milk of choice, sweeten with some maple syrup or a few drops of liquid stevia and you’re ready to go! A mightily delicious smoothie… more cinnamon, a little maple syrup or liquid stevia, lucuma powder to compliment and enhance the caramel tones, a touch of cardamon and vanilla for the final flourish. I’d probably make the base with coconut or almond milk and perhaps blend in a little ripe banana if I was in need of some carbs! A new and super duper interesting chia pudding…why not try coconut milk infused with the Tulsi Turmeric and Ginger Tea as a base, mixed with vanilla, cardamon and some sweetener of choice. Whisk in some leftover carrot puree for an instant carrot cake-like pudding…all topped off with a dollop of coconut cream and dusting of cinnamon! Brew up a big batch of the tea and use as a base for your curry sauce or soothing chicken noodle soup! Just replace some of the stock or liquid called for in your recipe with the tea! Tired puffy eyes? Warm some used tea bags with a touch of hot water, drain, lay back and let them sit on your closed eyes for instant relaxation. The turmeric should also help reduce inflammation and any redness. This tea has it all for me… ginger has always been one of my favourites. As aforementioned it’s a great after meal blend, but equally, I find the combination wonderfully revitalizing… a square or two of 100% chocolate on the side comes highly recommend!
