How keto and candida work against each other. Not winning on keto? It may be candida that is working against you.

We’re marrying two things together, keto and candida, with a touch of vegan, plant-based awesome sprinkled in. Keto and candida can compliment each other but they can also be straight-up enemies.

Maybe you’re keto and have candida and no matter what you do, you can’t rid yourself of the guy. Or, heck, maybe you have candida but you don’t know you have it. And all of these symptoms are popping up out of nowhere and you’re at a complete loss.

Our guest today, Ricki, is the candida expert. While I don’t consider myself to be THE keto expert, I’ve come to know a great deal about living a low-carb/high-fat/keto eating style.

If after listening, you’ve determined that candida is a problem for you, you could start off by reducing your fat intake by about 5%. I find a slight reduction in fat consumption is all that’s needed to switch things around.   1. Just listened to this and surprised that keto can call candida. I have been on keto for over a year – with less that 30g carbs a day. It’s absolutely changed my life but just this last month or so I’ve suddenly got candida all over. I don’t want to go out of keto as it’s helped me with severe migraines. Starting point for me??

  2. I’m eating a keto diet keeping my carbs around 20 G. What suggestions does she have Beyond super low-carb eating to wipe out candida? I know she said to avoid acidic foods and drinks which is quite different than Keto. It would be great to have a protocol laid out for people doing keto that really want to crush the Candida. I sure do. I ate a quest bar and some spaghetti squash yesterday and I have a flare up. Frustrating. I’ve been dealing with it all my life too. Thanks for the info.
