Hello fabulous you! In 2017, I’ll be adding more vlog-style videos like this one into the video rotation on the blog. You guys have ask for a more candid-style video, so I’m doing it!

The videos will highlight the struggles and daily hustle of a ketogenic woman (me!)… starting with today’s highly controversial topic. Some of you will love this, some of you will dislike it, and that’s okay. I know that, had I heard these words a couple of years ago, it would have saved me a lot of heartache and self-loathing.

  1. I tried for years to get down to that so called ideal 140lbs for a female 5’9″ and I never could do it. The harder I tried the sicker I got. It wasn’t until I had an underwater lean mass disbursement weighing, and found out that I had 139lbs of lean body mass, that I realized that I would never ever be 140lbs unless I was half dead. After that I readjusted my expectations of what was a healthy weight for me. Now I can be accepting of 165 – 170lbs, and with keto in my life I know I will get there.

    • The unrealistic expectations we set for ourselves are so rough! I’m glad to hear you were able to realize this and readjust.
