Zion I was a D1 college varsity athlete and that I thought I knew a thing (or 100) about nutrition and health. I would load up on carbs, carbs and more carbs. An injury caused the NCAA to dismiss me from varsity sports, and I became crazy about my food intake and my calories burned. I ended up losing about 30 lbs (primarily muscle) and I thought I looked awesome, but I ended up with an ED pretty much. I tried so many things; not counting calories, counting calories. Whole 30, shakes, different meal planning phone apps, supplements, low fat, high carb, etc… but I just could not lose the weight. It was not until I stumbled across your podcast on iTunes that I started to understand the emotional and physical trauma I was inflicting on myself by counting calories and running from fat and mirrors when I did not look or feel my best. Leanne, because of your knowledge and confidence in your mission my life has CHANGED. My moods are steady and I have more energy and patience. My skin is glowing and oh yeah, I am losing weight but feeling stronger every day. I am such a believer in your program that I even got my fiancé to start with me this week. I feel amazing and I feel happy.

Ali I have struggled with my weight since a knee injury in high school when I tore my ACL and never quite recovered physically or mentally. Fast forward almost 20 years, I’m a mother of a very active 2.5-year-old. I’ve been starving myself on low cal diets and always remain in yo-yo land of 175-190 lbs and I’m only 5’7″. I had been eating a whole food diet with limited dairy and almost no sugar, but I was obsessed with tracking calories and logging my food with very little result. Then I found you during a desperate internet search to change things and I’m so glad I did! Candi I am a 70-year-old woman who has tried to eat well for years, but nothing I was doing was changing my bad report at my wellness exams. I had high cholesterol, high blood pressure, was pre-diabetic, overweight etc. I have fibromyalgia, osteopenia, hypoglycemia, and hypothyroidism. My doctor wanted to put me on statins for my cholesterol for months & I finally agreed to take the lowest dosage he could give me. I took two pills and just couldn’t continue because I hate drugs. I was determined to change things myself with food. So I purchased The Keto Diet book, listened to The Keto Diet Podcast as well as practiced intermittent fasting, and at my very next wellness exam, I received a glowing report! He said I should be a poster child for the elderly. No need for statins, no more pre-diabetic, blood pressure was perfect. The best part of my visit was telling him I didn’t take the drugs. Dani I recently started eating keto through a competition at my gym. It involved a strict meal plan which included lots of eggs, bacon, cheese, heavy cream, fat bombs, etc. (and an exogenous ketone supplement… yuck.) I quickly realized this was just not the plan for me because the hunger was real, my body’s response to dairy was real and my fat loss results plateaued. After a lot of online research, I found Leanne’s YouTube videos and devoured dozens. I subscribed to the 3-month meal plan and bought The Keto Diet book. After 1 week of the meal plan, I have broken through the plateau and lost 4lbs and 2% body fat. Even though that’s great, the best thing is the yummy food, no dairy in my life anymore, and I feel full and do not want to eat my arm off at the end of the day. Now all my gym friends who are in the challenge are curious about what and I was able to convince several others to buy your book. You have majorly impressed me and I believe what you’re doing is more than clinical and not a one-size-fits-all canned plan. I’m a long-time fan of your work. I started keto about a year and a half ago, thanks to your awesome Fat-Fueled plan. I got both the Keto Beginning and Fat-Fueled since I had no idea how to even shift to a high-fat diet. I have a variety of health issues (Lyme’s disease, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and all the accompanying fun things that those entail, the list is long so I won’t bore you) and shifting to high fat brought a lot of relief to the GI issues I was experiencing as well as helping me mentally. I too wrestled with anorexia for many years and so really, really appreciate how you approach the mental aspect of the relationship with food, body image, and health.

 Love your book and love your podcasts. I had an issue with my heart a year ago and it scared me into taking that expensive blood test for food allergies.  I had severe toxins from candida and horrible intolerance to sugar and turkey, among other things.  My cardiologist said it wasn’t food allergies causing my heart issues, but for the first time I said “not yet” to a doctor wanting to do surgery.  Six weeks later with no sugar, low carbs and healthy fats…heart issue is GONE!  My doctor was baffled, and one year later I am 50 pounds less.
