    I’m wondering – if I drink bone broth every day do I still need to take collagen? does one make the other unnecessary or should you take both?

    • Hi Jenny! You can take both as long as you keep your total collagen intake at a comfortable level. I find that between 15 and 30g (2 scoops of collagen powder) is a good place for me.

  2. In your book you mention the gelatin as beneficial- is this different than bone broth? As someone who is looking to start- are both collagen and gelatin necessary? I also was wondering your view on the blood type diet- I’ve heard many people swear by it- as a type o that would eliminate a lot of the fats like coconut oils and avocado, etc. help!!

    • Hi Neil! Gelatin and Bone Broth are different – bone broth often contains gelatin and nutrients. You don’t need either collagen or gelatin to start, but they’re both useful supplements. As for the blood type diet, I’ve heard people have success with it, but I find the science behind it to be a little shaky.

  4. I’m a 54 year old male. Diabetic for about 20 years and on 3 types of diabetic meds. Is your particular diet advisable for males as well? You seem to be directing a lot of your messages to females, ( love women btw) I’m currently 225lbs 6ft tall with a 38 ” waist…. I weight train 3 times week. I’m currently controlling my weight with Inermintent fasting but carbs are about 30% of my diet. Any advice? Will Keto help?

    • Hey, Antonio! Yes, males can thrive on keto as well. Here’s a video that explains how you can make my programs work for you as a male and how keto can work for those with diabetes. Hope this helps!

    • Hey, Kali! I haven’t tried it so I’m afraid I can’t speak to its efficacy. I’d love to know how it goes for you if you try it, though! I can recommend marine collagen for those who still consume fish. I like the Vital Proteins one— it’s sourced from wild-caught Snapper.

    I am 7 weeks KETO (minus 2 days over Christmas :() and have never felt better. I purchased your book and recently your PDF Holiday recipe book and I’m loving the recipes and information.

    I watched your Collagen video and I have been using the Bulletproof brand Collagen and just noticed that it is labeled as Upgraded. Wondering if you have any info. on upgraded vs. regular.

    • That’s so great! I’m happy to hear it.

      All of their products used to be marketed as “upgraded.” Does it look like this? If so, it’s the same product, just old packaging.

  6. Gummies you have a recipe in your book I will have to make it. I have a hard time messing with my coffee in the morning:) just heavy cream and org coffee, I have tried adding things to make super coffee’s doesn’t work. I bet gummies would though.

    • Ah yes, I love those gummies! Reminds me of the gummy bears I’d always eat as a kid… but WAY healthier ;)

  7. Hi Leanne! In the intro you mentioned how to use collagen to boost hair growth. Unless I missed it I didn’t catch how to do that in the video. My hair is definitely thinning and if there is a way to make it grow faster I would LOVE to hear about it! Thanks!

    • I just use it regularly (1-2 scoops every day). It can take about 3 months or so to notice any differences. If your hair is falling out and you’ve been eating low-carb for quite awhile, this could also be a sign you’re in need of a carb up! Check out this video on carb ups for more info.
