When starting keto, it can be so tempting to want to know exactly what to do to find keto success: what food to eat, what keto products to buy (or not buy!), whether to carb up or not (and when!). If you’re a keto beginner, you’ve got to find out what works for you, even if that differs from everyone else’s keto approach.
I’ve talked to so many women who started a ketogenic journey for one reason or the other, often for weight loss, and what happened is that the obstacles they faced on keto showed them that there is more to life than weight loss or stressing about what to eat. Keto can be that catalyst that opens the door for all kinds of awesome healing, you just have to be willing to embrace the struggles that come with the process.
Who defines what you can or can’t do? Are you setting limitations on yourself? I think sometimes, we don’t really know what we’re capable of because we don’t think we’re worthy of living the life we’re daydreaming about. What would happen if you made more room for more of what you love?
One of the misconceptions about keto is that you can’t be a ketogenic athlete. We’ve debunked this myth before, but I thought it would be great to chat with someone who was a carb-fueled athlete and made the transition to keto while training… and then crushed her goals.
What do you do when your support system isn’t being supportive? Whether it’s your healthcare team, your partner, your best friend, a parent, or a coach… sometimes, those around us just don’t get it, despite their best efforts. That’s why it’s so important to believe in your body, to trust your own intuition, and to fight for yourself!
Get actionable, momentum-building advice perfectly paired with your current stage of keto.
