Erythritol is a keto-friendly, sugar-free sweetener. There are different qualities of the sweetener, and I’m sure I’ve tried just about every one. The one I’m most happy with is Swerve. They have multiple types of the sweetener to make swapping out sugar in your favorite baked goods so incredibly easy (and tasty!).
Confectioners style erythritol is powdered, so it’s great for making keto frostings and other delicacies that would normally require powdered sugar. It also dissolves fabulously into cold liquids making it more versatile than granulated varieties.
Granulated style erythritol is granulated just like sugar. You can use it as a 1:1 replacement for sugar in a recipe.
Lastly, brown-style erythritol is just like brown sugar, it even clumps! It, too, can replace brown sugar in recipes at a 1:1 ratio.
