I'm ready!

One of my favorite cooking gadgets is my Instant Pot®! Seriously, it’s at the top of my list of favorite appliances and cooking gadgets!

Some of you might be slow cooker fans, which is perfectly fine with me, but I get a little nervous leaving it for so long unattended. That, and who the heck has the foresight to prepare dinner 6 to 8 hours ahead of time? This is why the Instant Pot® is so great; it requires very little effort while keeping cook time down to less than an hour in most cases. How’s that for awesome?

There are several Instant Pot® options, and the best one depends on how you’re going to use it. I have the Instant Pot® IP-DUO60, but each of the models has something great to offer. Regardless of the model you choose, all of them speed up cooking times while using less energy, have multiple functions other than pressure cooking, are noiseless, and keep the steam and aromas locked in.

  • For more temperature choices, go with the Duo Plus and Ultra
  • To sterilize things like bottles and jars, the Duo Plus and Ultra are also your best option
  • For those that like to cook large batches for leftovers later on, choose the 8 quart option
  • For those of you with very little countertop space, you’ll want to stick with the Mini
  • For your average everyday use, the Duo 6 Quart is a great classic favorite

Once you have an Instant Pot® or slow cooker, you’ll need some recipes. Here are several recipes to try to give you a few ideas to start out with or to shake things up if you’re a veteran at the pressure cooker game.

Upgraded Bone Broth

Upgraded Bone Broth

Let’s start with the keto basics… good ol’ simple bone broth. You can freeze it in cubes to be easily used later on. You can also add all sorts of ingredients to add such as fresh herbs, celery, ginger, turmeric, and MCT oil. Now fuel up and show the day who’s the keto boss!

Did you know MCT oil also comes in powdered form? Ya! In its powdered state, it's much easier to use, travel with, and incorporate into your favorite recipes. Plus, if you've experienced digestive issues with MCT oil before, MCT oil powder is a lot gentler on the gut. Check out my favorite brand of MCT oil powder here.

Easy Balsamic Beef Pot Roast

Here’s a hearty meal that is perfect for back-to-school season. There is enough going on at the beginning of the school year, so here’s a nice easy yet hearty keto recipe loved by all ages. I would recommend using 1 teaspoon gelatin to replace the xanthan gum.

Beef Stew and Chicken Soup in 35 Minutes or Less

Beef Stew and Chicken Soup in 35 Minutes or Less

Another hearty keto recipe that is perfect for the upcoming fall season! To make it even lower carb, replace the carrots with daikon radishes and/or more celery.

Instant Pot® Spaghetti Squash

Still struggling to find time to keep a balanced keto meal plan together? This is a common issue for so many people. Trust me, I understand what it’s like to not have time to devote to cooking fancy keto meals every day. That is why I developed this keto meal plan program to help those of you who are really wanting to stick to keto, but having a hard time finding time to plan meals.

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

If you like to take things slower, this is a great slow cooker keto recipe, but you could also adapt it to be used in an Instant Pot® by cooking on high pressure for 2 hours. I would also sub out the sauce for this keto sugar-free barbecue sauce. Looking for a carb up? Serve as pictured with a sweet potato, otherwise your can serve this dish overtop greens and it is lower in carbohydrates, but just as tasty.

Low-Carb Crock Pot Roast Beef

Here is another great keto pot roast recipe if you like to experiment with different versions. The rub on this one is delicious!

Low-Carb Chicken

Low-Carb Chicken “Noodle” Soup

I love making soups in my Instant Pot® because they can be done in roughly half an hour. A whopping 12 minutes on the saute setting and 15 minutes on the soup setting… and voila!

Pressure Cooker Pork and Kraut

With the ease of pressure cooking, this special treat does not have to take hours. Save time and enjoy more of your day because this keto feast is less than an hour away!

Low-Carb Oxtail Soup

Low-Carb Oxtail Soup

Many recipes can easily be adapted to be used in a pressure/slow cooker even if they weren’t originally designed for it. In this keto recipe, for example, you can brown the meat on the saute setting, then add in the rest of the ingredients and switch to the soup setting. Also, to keep it dairy-free replace the ghee with butter-flavored coconut oil.

Pressure Cooker Lemongrass + Coconut Chicken

If you love spice, pile on the chipotle powder! If you or someone in your family is not able to handle the heat, you can just add less powder. Either way, this keto slow cooker chicken is amazing!

Slow Cooker Pork & Cabbage Stew

Slow Cooker Pork & Cabbage Stew

Tasty and low-carb, this recipe has it all! You can throw it into your slow cooker and go about your day, or you can speed things up a bit with your pressure cooker. To make it even lower in carbs, you can substitute the carrots with daikon radish, celery, or onion.

Slow Cooker Boeuf Bourguignon with Spiralized Vegetables

Slow Cooker Boeuf Bourguignon with Spiralized Vegetables

Spiral slicing is fun! And with this keto recipe, you get to shake things up with spiral sliced veggies instead of “boring” cubed veggies. Of course, if you’re a fan of the classic cubed veggie, go right on ahead. Don’t have a spiral slicer? This one is my favorites.

Are you inspired yet? I hope so because then my mission is accomplished! Before you run off to make a tasty meal in your pressure cooker or slow cooker, don’t forget to leave a comment for a chance to win a Instant Pot® Duo Mini!
