Snack Attack!!!

I am a self professed snacker.

There’s always a pile of coconut bars in my car, a couple of fruit bars in the desk drawer of my office, and a couple of mini bags of nut butters in my purse. A girl can never be too prepared.

As long as you’re going for products that are going to keep you fuller, longer, snacks are a great way to keep your metabolism running, maintain healthy energy levels, and keep your brain functioning at tip-top performance.

I’ve spent years looking for the tastiest, healthiest snacks and thought it would be fun to share a couple of my favorites with one lucky HP reader! [Because you guys are so awesome, and I appreciate all the support you continue to show on a daily basis!]

As much as I would love to send you a box of my favorite homemade goodies, I’ll stick to things that are easier to ship.

  1. Considering I eat like a bird and can turn just about anything into a “snack food”, I have a vast array of options to choose from. However, bearing in mind most people don’t consider cake or cherry crumb pie part of the snack category, I would have to go with chips…but not just any chips! Sweet potato chips with cinnamon or Zucchini chips with oregano…mmmmm.

    • Those chips sound fantastic. I’m a chips girl too – I have a soft spot for sweet potato and cumin, but cinnamon sounds delicious too!

  2. I LOVE GoRaw’s ginger snaps…I wish I had a dehydrator to make my own!
    But when I need salty I love airpopped popcorn with nutritional yeast and smoked paprika. YUM!

  3. My favorite snack is probably cereal. I can eat cereal for every single meal and I always have a bag with me!

    • A girl after my own heart! Rice crisps were my favorite. They are sweetened with raisin concentrate, so I often feel that it’s an invitation to eat more of them. Which cereal is your absolute favorite? I love being introduced to ones I haven’t tried.

  4. Fruit slathered in nut butter – it’s a tie between banana slices with tahini, and apple slices with peanut butter!

    • Yum! I’ve never tried banana and tahini. I’ll try it out as a snack when I get back from the gym this afternoon. Thank you!
