Super-indulgent dessert bars. Chocolate + caramel = vegan, gluten-free, paleo bliss!

Caramel on a dairy-free diet? Crazy pants, right?

I created a tasty dairy-free, vegan, gluten-free, nut-free, paleo, refined sugar-free caramel for my Christmas Dessert Freedom Cookbook that even Santa would approve of.

To celebrate the launch of my cookbook, I’ve teamed up with Truly Organic Foods. We’re offering up a bunch of **RECIPE KIT GIVEAWAYS** — where you can win some of the ingredients needed to make my favorite recipes from the book.

Truly Organic Foods is Canada’s online source for quality raw & vegan foods. And this week? It’s all about the dairy-free caramel.

Just wondering though, if Hemp Seeds and Coconut nectar aren’t in our pantry, what can I substitute?

    Many thanks Jx

    • Hey Judith! For the hemp seeds, you can use sunflower seeds, shredded coconut or pumpkin seeds. Just be sure to blend them a little to break into smaller pieces. For the coconut nectar, agave nectar or honey (if you are not vegan) can be used :) Enjoy!
