Hey loves! This is Alaina Rose and I blog over at Sweetness Of Life. When I got the email from Leanne about doing a guest post, I was so incredibly honored that my heart totally skipped a beat and tears sprang to my eyes! I am fairly new to the blog world, so these wonderful new connections I’m making really excite me and warm my heart! When I first started blogging, Leanne was one of the first bloggers that I discovered and started connecting with. I absolutely love her and I am so happy to be here. Thank you, Leanne! You rock. As you may be able to guess from the name of my blog, a recurring theme in my posts is SWEETNESS! Whether it be in the form of a tasty treat or experiencing love, appreciation and gratitude for something. I truly feel that finding a way to bring sweetness into your every day life is essential. For me, that usually comes in the form of seeing joy and beauty in all things and cultivating a sense of gratitude for everything that is around me. If you are able to focus on the positive things in your life and feel thankful for what you have instead of concentrating on negative thoughts, everything becomes brighter (and sweeter!) Express gratitude for the sweetness in your life and more sweetness will come! It’s also important to remember that we all have an unlimited source of sweetness within us. Never forget to honor yourself as the perfectly SWEET and divine being that you are. If you ever feel that you are missing some sweetness in your life, tap into that vast wealth of sweetness that you carry with you wherever you go. And if you still feel like you’re missing some sweetness in your life, MAKE THESE!
Sweetness of life truffles

Recipe type: Paleo, Gluten-free, Dairy-free, Refined sugar-free, Yeast-free, Corn-free, Grain-free, Nut-free, Egg-free
Prep time:
Total time:
Serves: 15-20 truffles

Ingredients
Instructions
  1. Begin by melting the cocoa butter, coconut butter, coconut oil and honey on a double boiler on the stove over low-medium heat. Once it’s melted, add in the vanilla extract and orange zest. In a separate bowl, combine the cocoa powder, shredded coconut, cinnamon, cardamom and salt. Pour the melted mixture over the dry ingredients and mix well. Once the mixture is fully combined, you can start rolling it into perfectly bite size truffles of sweetness J You should get about 15-20 truffles depending on how big or small you make them. Then you can top them with whatever you like. I chose goji berries, shredded coconut, cocoa powder and carob powder. They are extremely delicious on their own without any toppings too though.
I love the unique flavor of these. The cardamom, cinnamon and orange zest make for such an exotic flavor journey for your taste buds! I truly hope you make these and celebrate the sweetness of yourself and the sweetness of life!
