Why the purple potatoes? Not only do they have all the health benefits of potatoes (high alkalinity, high in fiber, iron, satiating), they’re jam packed with flavanoids. Flavanoids:
- Support the health of our blood vessels
- Improve motor skills
- Play a role in cancer prevention
- Prevent bacteria from sticking to the walls of the urinary tract
Sounds pretty darn good to me!

Hi,
Love what you are doing here. If you have a recipe you’d like to share with our Global Caribbean Community, let me know. THE Caribbean Folklore Project(TM)’s healthy Caribbean food site is in pre-launch, but you can check us out at http://www.SkinnyCarib.com and also view the blog.
Our plans are a monthly “when the moon is full” release of the blog, but we have guest pages ready for guest bloggers and would like to link healthy ingredients with Caribbean food options in order to enhance the well-being of our global community.
In Community,
